The Holy Spirit

Ephesians 3:20-21 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
A) The Holy Spirit is at work within us.

Romans 8:8-9
8 Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. 9 You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
A) You cannot please God, if you are controlled by the sinful nature.
B) If you do not have the Spirit of Christ, then you do not belong
to Christ.

Romans 8:13-14
13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14 because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
A) If you live by the sinful nature you will die. Living by the
sinful nature maybe fun, but you will suffer the consequences.
B) You can put to death the sin in your life by using the Spirit.
C) If you are led by the Spirit, then you are the son of God.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22
21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
A) You have eternal life, if you have the Spirit of God in your heart.

Galatians 5:16-17
Life by the Spirit
16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.
A) You must live according to the Spirit and not according to
the desires of your sinful nature.

Jude 1:18-21 18 They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires." 19 These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. 20 But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. 21 Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
A) Watch out for men who follow there natural instincts and do not
have the Spirit.
B) An example of men like this: Those who preach a salvation which
does not include baptism.
C) This will occur in the last days… Many people believe that we
are in the last days.

GOD’S COMPLETE PLAN OF SALVATION:
1) Hear the Word: Romans 10:17 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
2) Believe the Gospel: Acts 8: 37 37 37 Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." The eunuch answered, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
3) Repent of your Sins: Luke 13: 3 - 5 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."
4) Confess Christ as Lord: Romans 10: 9 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved
5) Be Baptized (Immersed In Water): Acts 2: 38 38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 22:16 16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.'
ENOCH 94: 1 - 4
1. And now I say to you, my children, love righteousness and walk in it;
For the paths of righteousness are worthy of acceptance, But the paths of unrighteousness will quickly be destroyed and vanish.
2. And to certain men of a generation shall the paths of violence and of death be revealed, And they shall hold themselves afar from them, And shall not follow them.
3. And now I say to you, the righteous: do not walk in the wicked path, or in wrong doing, or in the paths of death, and do not draw near to them, or you may be destroyed.
4. But seek and choose for yourselves, righteousness, and a life that is pleasing and walk in the paths of peace so that you may live and prosper.
